Lead a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold SDI’s business initiatives. Ensure projects assigned are completed in a timely fashion and within budget, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. Project tracking and reporting for all major projects within Organization.
Role and Responsibilities
These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Establish a detailed project schedule
Follow up with all team members as required, including Engineers, IT, Suppliers, In-house Manufacturing, Field installation, Field wiring, and Commissioning.
Ensure all materials are being ordered and track shipments; including MHE, 3rd party Suppliers, In-house Mfg. and IT peripherals (controls devices, panels, scanners, printers).
Provide client updates on schedule milestones, progress against schedule, immediate tasks, open issues, and potential changes to scope.
Keep schedule and schedule milestones updated as the project unfolds. Ensure key dates are identified for project needs, (i.e., MHE deliveries, install crew, wiring, panels, spares).
Communicate internally with all who support the project to ensure that all project gates/milestone needs are being addressed.
Visit client site as appropriate, assess progress towards agreed-upon Go Live date. Ensure that project is ultimately closed out, with documented client sign-off.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Years of relevant experience: 4 years in managing
Willing to travel up to 40% of the time within the USA. Experience spending time on-site is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in Engineering, Project Management, or associated discipline.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft Project.
Ability to work with AutoCAD is a plus but not required.
