SDI CANCELS SELF22
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – LOS ANGELES, January 12th, 2022 — SDI, a leading provider of materials handling systems and technology solutions to the retail, wholesale, fulfillment and e-commerce industries, will cancel its annual SDI Executive Logistics Forum due to happen on March 3rd and 4th of 2022.
After a lot of consideration, the SDI board decided it would be best to cancel SELF22 seven weeks before the event took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, due to all the uncertainties presented by Covid-19 and its latest variant, omicron.
While it has been one of the busiest years in logistics, we understand that travel plans are difficult to make due to organizations’ restrictive travel guidelines, CDC guidelines, safety concerns, and a virus that is constantly changing and posing new challenges.
SDI was hopeful that 2022 would be the year to host this event again, but it will be postponed until 2023.
“We are really sad we have to cancel SELF again; we had put a lot of effort into making it happen,” Krish Nathan, CEO, said. “We’re just getting feedback that while people may want to attend, there’s a big possibility they won’t be able to attend, which makes putting this event together at this time, very difficult.”
SDI plans of resuming SELF in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2023.
“We are really sorry to the attendees, speakers and partners who were planning on attending, we appreciate your support, and we have no doubt next year will be promising,” Nathan added.
