SDI CANCELS BOOTH AT PROMAT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – LOS ANGELES, October 9, 2020, — SDI, a leading provider of materials handling systems and technology solutions to the retail, wholesale, fulfillment and e-commerce industries, will not be having a booth at the ProMat 2021 show.
After careful consideration, and taking the current pandemic into account, SDI has canceled its booth presence. While there’s a desire to participate, the uncertainties that lie ahead, make it challenging to plan for such an event.
“COVID-19 makes it tough to know where we’ll be in six months,” Krish Nathan, CEO, said. “Safety, optimism and well-being will play a big part in deciding whether or not people will attend.”
While SDI will not be having a floor presence, member of SDI may still attend the show and meet with clients.
“It’s easier to plan for a handful of people to attend and make any last-minute changes as needed,” Nathan added. “That way we give ourselves flexibility and keep safety as our number one priority.”
In lieu of ProMat, SDI will be investing in our customer experience center in Melbourne, Florida.
“We are configuring our lab facilities so that we could host safe in-person and virtual tours for interested parties,” Nathan said. “This will enable our clients and prospective customers to see our new developments and experience our solutions firsthand.”
SDI plans to attend RILA in 2021 and MODEX in 2022.
