Provides first-level support for internal and external users network, desktop, sorter controls, and application software needs. Accepts and logs all support calls, provides first-level research and resolution, and may refer to second-level support when higher skills are required to resolve the issue.
Responsibilities include call tracking, telephone support, out of town on-site support, software installation and configuration, as well as network and application software support. Prospective candidates should have ambitions toward network or controls engineering and be capable of working with business applications and non-technical users. Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment. Many opportunities to learn new technologies and expand your skills and knowledge.
• Troubleshooting techniques and procedures using Windows OS, Windows Terminal services, PC desktop knowledge, networks and PC (Windows domain) architecture
• Familiar with basic electrical/electronic circuits, computer I/O modules and process concepts highly desired
• Experience with MS SQL Server is a must
• Some “hands-on” knowledge of electronics a plus
