American Fashion: From Design to Manufacturing to Global Export

The sourcing paradigm is perpetually evolving and, today, as radically as ever. Strategic discussions on low cost, speed to market, supply chain efficiencies, inventory, and trade policy considerations have given way to a renewed look at the Americas. In addition to U.S. Made, American Design is moving steadily into the global marketplace via various export strategies from direct sales to franchises and licensing agreements. Understanding what can be sourced, how global companies are establishing efficiencies throughout the export process, and having the expertise to implement new strategies is at the crossroad of today’s successful sourcing operations.

Barron to Host CBBBS

SDI is very proud to announce that Barron Sebastian De Sanctis, our very own Executive Vice President of Business Development & Sales, has been elected as one of three lead Co-Chairs for the yearly holiday party that CBBBS (Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters) will be providing. This is the charity sponsoring kids 8 to 15 years of age that SDI, and especially Barron, aligned and worked heavily with last year.

With Barron’s position as Co-Chair, SDI will hold a toy drive for CBBBS. This will provide the needed support to help make this holiday season particularly special for them this year. Barron is also trying to collect donations for the CBBBS program to help with expenses and additional gifts needed by the end of the toy drive.

For SDI Group Employees, and other members of the retail/apparel community not located near the SDI Group USA Pacoima, California office, it is requested, that if you plan to purchase a toy to donate, please order it online and have it shipped to the following address. In addition, all donations need to be sent to Barron’s attention at the same address.

Please help SDI meet our goal of 200 toys and $10,000 in donations.

Congratulations to Ruben Garcia!

SDI Team,

Join me in congratulating Ruben Garcia, for the great comments Dillard’s said about him.

Barron,

I just wanted to let you know that Ruben did a very good job here on the Hang Sorter install and I wished that all installers that we have had in here were the same.

He really strives to do a good job and make the customer happy even though unforeseen situations popped- up from time to time he always made the best of it without trying to take shortcuts and by doing it right. As you can see I would recommend Ruben to anyone and I hope you see the value in him for your company and your customers.
Thanks,

Scotty

We are exhibiting at Post Expo!

SDI is exhibiting at Post Expo, 1-3 October, specifically focusing upon our sorter product range.

POST-EXPO provides the most significant opportunity the postal, parcel and express industries have to debate current issues and form business relationships on a global scale. 2013 will be the 17th international conference and exhibition for postal technology, equipment, services and innovation.

Over three days POST-EXPO 2013 will bring together CEOs, senior directors and managers, key decision makers, suppliers and buyers from all over the world to exchange ideas and information about the future development of the postal, parcel and express industries. The POST- EXPO conference and exhibition is a world-class event that attracts over 3,500 attendees from national and private postal operators, express and courier companies, mailing companies and related businesses, with at least 85 countries represented each year.

For this, we are launching a new member of the SDI Group, specifically dedicated to sortation: SDI Sortation Solutions Ltd.
